Biography - Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France
L’Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France est dirigé par Myung-Whun Chung depuis mai 2000. Fondé en 1976, il sait se scinder afin de jouer simultanément aussi bien en petit ensemble instrumental, en orchestre de chambre et qu’en grande formation symphonique. Des chefs prestigieux, de Pierre Boulez à Gustavo Dudamel en passant par Ton Koopman l’ont également dirigé.
Myung-Whun Chung et l’orchestre ont été nommés ambassadeurs de l’Unicef en 2007.
L'orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France est composé de 140 musiciens.
