The half Tanzanian, half English star-in-waiting rose to notoriety after being selected as ‘Breakthrough Act of the Year’ at Gilles Peterson’s Worldwide Awards, which led to support shows with the likes of Michael Kiwanuka, Laura Mvula, Leon Bridges and Lianne Le Havas.
Following a string of critically acclaimed EPs, which received extensive coverage in media and were featured by BBC Radio 1, BBC 1Xtra and more, Ady played a string of headline shows across the UK in 2016, most recently selling out London's Scala in October, before heading back into the studio to continue work on his debut album.
